FLX is built on transparency. We collect only what we need to make the app work for you, we never sell your data, and we are clear about how we use it. This document explains exactly what we collect, why, how we use it, and what your rights are, with no small letters.

FLX ("we," "us," "our") is a fitness tracking application that combines workout logging with AI-powered recommendations. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the FLX mobile application and any associated services.

This information is used to improve the relevance and safety of AI recommendations. We also record the broad age range you fall in (for example, 25 to 34) in our analytics and AI quality tools, to understand how well our plans work for different age groups. Your exact age, your sex, your body weight, and your height are never sent to analytics, and this information is never shared with third parties for any other purpose.

This data is stored to personalize future recommendations and ensure the AI has context about your training history, goals, and limitations. It is never used to identify you to third parties or for advertising purposes.

This data is linked to your FLX account and your email address, so it is not anonymous. Analytics never receives your exact age (only a broad range, see Section 2.4), your sex, your body weight, or your height. We use this data to improve FLX and to choose which news and offers we send you (see Section 3).

FLX uses Anthropic's Claude API to power its AI coach and recommendation features. When you interact with the AI chat or receive AI-generated recommendations, relevant portions of your workout history, goals, and conversation history are processed by Anthropic's systems to generate responses.

What this means for you:

Anthropic processes this data solely to generate AI responses within FLX. Your data is not used to train or fine-tune any AI model, by FLX or by Anthropic, through this Service.

Anthropic's own privacy policy governs how they handle data processed through their API. We encourage you to review it at anthropic.com/privacy.

FLX stores your conversation history securely in our own systems. It is never shared with other users.

Your data is stored using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider with industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is entirely immune to security risks. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities as required by law.

FLX uses a limited number of third-party services to operate. These include services for data storage and authentication, AI features and AI quality monitoring, payments, app usage analytics, email delivery, crash reporting, and push notifications.

We never share your personal data with a third party for that party's own marketing, and we only share data with these providers to the extent necessary to provide the Service and for the uses described in this Policy.

FLX is a mobile application and does not use browser cookies. We use a mobile analytics tool that collects usage data linked to your account, as described in Section 2.6.

FLX recognizes your rights as a user to your collected information. Depending on your jurisdiction, these rights may include access, correction, and deletion of your personal data. We handle all requests manually. To submit a request, contact us at privacy@getflx.app. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Specific retention practices:

When you delete your account, your data enters a 7-day grace period during which you can restore the account and cancel the deletion. After the grace period ends, your personal data is permanently deleted, except for limited records we are legally required to keep (such as billing records). Deleting only the FLX app from your device does not delete your account or your data. To delete your data, you must delete your account from within the App.

FLX is available exclusively to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.

If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal data to FLX, contact us at privacy@getflx.app and we will promptly investigate and delete the data.

FLX is offered in the United States and select Latin American countries. Your data may be stored and processed in countries outside your own, including where our infrastructure providers operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in accordance with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of FLX after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
